Job Title: Project Technician

The Project Technician is the support of projects for all operational aspects, ensures smooth project execution, internal project communication, and supports all supportive project needs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain project coordination in all project phases
- Document quality procedures, perform inspections, equipment testing and acceptance
- Provide project information, updates, and timelines to project engineering
Responsibilities
- Preparation, coordination, and final acceptance of projects in conjunction with Project Engineers and the Operations Manager.
- Quality inspection of project materials sourced or produced by ASI to comply with required criteria of project scope and current ASI quality standards.
- Supporting Quality Control personnel and practices throughout the project as well as during the final phase of testing the system; this includes but is not limited to correcting any leaks identified, functionality, or changes requested by the Quality Team and/or customer.
- In process quality checks for all fabrication. (QC authorized)
- Perform full quality and functional testing of systems manufactured by ASI. Working with the Project Engineering group to ensure that all quality standards, functionality, and documentation for project acceptance is achieved.
- Participate in and document all non-conformance reports.
- Work with fabrication specialists i.e., pipe welders and electricians to ensure projects remain on schedule and within required quality criteria.
- Collaborate and communicate with management, other engineers, and operations personnel throughout the entire project cycle.
- Support continuous improvement projects for the organization & production floor to ensure continued development and growth for ASI.
- Uphold professional and technical communication standards throughout the organization.
- Other assigned tasks from direct supervisor & management team.
Required Knowledge
- Ability to operate and perform functional testing of equipment as well as resolving potential issues of the system.
- Knowledge of custom fabricated equipment systems; pumps, valves, piping, instrumentation, industrial controls, etc.
- Capable of reading & understanding structural drawings, Piping, and Instrumentation Drawings (PID), General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Proper assembly and manufacturing processes for machine assembly.
- Ability to coordinate a successful project.
- MS Office experience
- Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems

Education/Experience
- Required:
- GED or High School equivalent
- 2-3 years’ experience in technical field
- Preferred:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Technical Field
- 5+ years’ experience in technical field
