Job Title:  Production Coordinator

The Production Coordinator is the central support for all operational aspects of open projects, ensures smooth project execution, internal & external project communication, and supports all supportive project needs.  

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain project schedules in all project phases
  • Document meeting summaries, update project schedules & timelines
  • Provide project information, updates, and timelines to customers

Responsibilities

  • Participation in all projects with designated Project Engineer
  • Support day-to-day execution for multiple projects
  • Maintain visibility of project dependencies and project progress
  • Internal communication as required for all company departments
  • External communication to customers regarding scheduling meetings, project timelines, design reviews, progress discussions, scope change reviews etc.
  • Project supporting tasks including but not limited to comparative sourcing, component research, instrument datasheet collection
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for company efficiency and process development.
  • All other tasks and projects assigned by direct supervisor and management team 

Required Knowledge

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Production acumen & knowledge of custom fabricated equipment systems; welding, pumps, valves, piping, instrumentation, flow meters, sensors, industrial controls, electrical power, automation, etc.
  • Capable of reading & understanding structural drawings, piping, and instrumentation drawings (PID), general arrangement (GA) drawings, PLC programming language. (Allen Bradley / Siemens)
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Work collaboratively with a team to achieve company goals.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned which pertain to the job description.
  • Collaborate and communicate with all employees and partners of ASI
  • Support continuous developmental projects for the organization and production floor

Education/Experience

  • Required:
    • GED or High School equivalent
    • 2-3 years’ experience in technical field
  • Preferred:
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Technical Field
    • 5+ years’ experience in technical field
