Job Title:  Field Service Technician

As a Field Service Technician, you will be a member of the engineering team providing expertise in support of fabrication and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Installation and ASI equipment support at customer locations.
  • On-site, phone & email assistance for all customer technical questions and troubleshooting.
  • Perform full quality and functional testing of systems manufactured that are to be installed/commissioned by ASI. Working with the Project Engineering group to ensure that all quality standards, functionality, and documentation for project acceptance is achieved.
  • Preparation, coordination, and final acceptance of projects in conjunction with Project Engineers, Operations Manager, and Project Technicians.
  • Work with fabrication specialists i.e., pipe welders and electricians to ensure projects remain on schedule and within required quality criteria.
  • Collaborate and communicate with management, other engineers, and operations personnel throughout the entire project cycle.
  • Support continuous improvement projects for the organization & production floor to ensure continued development and growth for ASI.

 

Required Knowledge

  • Ability to operate and perform functional testing of equipment as well as resolving potential issues of the system.
  • Knowledge of custom fabricated equipment systems; pumps, valves, piping, instrumentation, industrial controls, electrical power, automation, etc.
  • Capable of reading & understanding structural drawings, Piping, and Instrumentation Drawings (PID), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, PLC programming language. (Allen Bradley / Siemens)
  • Proper assembly and manufacturing processes for machine assembly.
  • Ability to coordinate a successful Technical Service Intervention.

Education/Experience

  • Required:
    • GED or High School equivalent
    • 1-2 years’ experience in technical field
    • Ability & Willingness to travel up to 75%
  • Preferred:
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Technical Field
    • 3-5 years’ experience in technical field
