Job Title:  Production Manager

As a Production Manager, you will be a key member of the production team, providing expertise in support of fabrication and manufacturing.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain project schedules in manufacturing.
  • Ensure in-process quality.
  • Lead and develop shop employees.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all shop employees, scheduling and prioritizing allocation of resources on projects.
  • Maintain overall project production.
  • Support, develop, coordinate, and provide training to shop personnel.
  • Work with project engineers to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Conduct in-process inspection during fabrication.
  • Perform or verify quality testing of completed systems.
  • Support the Facility Manager with all shop equipment preventative maintenance schedules and requirements.
  • Maintain adequate shop supplies for workload.
  • Collaborate and communicate with all employees and partners of ASI.
  • Support continuous developmental projects for the organization and production floor.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the direct supervisor and management team.

 

Required Knowledge

  • Leadership and development of personnel including welders, fabricators, electricians, shipping, and all shop personnel.
  • Production acumen and knowledge of custom fabricated equipment systems: welding, pumps, valves, piping, instrumentation, flow meters, sensors, industrial controls, electrical power, automation, etc.
  • Ability to operate and perform functional testing of equipment and resolve potential system issues.
  • Knowledge of custom fabricated equipment systems, including pumps, valves, piping, instrumentation, industrial controls, electrical power, and automation.
  • Capable of reading and understanding structural drawings, Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (PID), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and PLC programming languages (Allen Bradley/Siemens).
  • Proper assembly and manufacturing processes for machine assembly.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to coordinate successful technical service interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to achieve company goals.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned which pertain to the job description.

Education/Experience

  • Required:
    • GED or High School equivalent
    • 2-3 years’ experience in technical field
  • Preferred:
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Technical Field
    • 5+ years’ experience in technical field
